  The system has improved the knowledge of the operators, when discussing issues the technical understanding of the operators has improved

  Very useful for teaching new recruits who don’t have an oil industry background

  Web based training has allowed us to increase the amount of training given without incurring overtime costs and it is much easier to arrange unlike formal courses

  [Ed Hewines has] a large wealth of training information which he has assembled into a best practices operator training system called PSR Interactive. PSR offered some of their training materials for use in a course entitled Chemical Engineering Tools and Equipment that I teach at Cornell

  Our studies in teaching effectiveness suggest that many of our students are better as “visual and experiential learners” than in any other learning modes. The PSR materials which combine videos, animations, photographs, graphics and diagrams with an overlaid narration of what is being seen proved to be a major success in improving the student’s knowledge uptake

  I’ve seen a large number of visual learning systems over the years both in my industrial career and subsequently in my academic career and I have yet to see any visual learning system that transfers information as effectively as PSR Interactive

  I have been an instructor at Bellingham Technical College for about five years and have prepared and taught almost all of the classes in our Process Technology program

  We actively use computer simulations and computer based modules for our program to keep our students engaged in learning, not only the fundamentals but new developments as well.  About six months ago, we began using the PSR interactive material

  I was impressed with the level of the material in the modules, the audio feature, and the interactive 3D units.  We are using PSR modules to supplement our equipment, systems and operations classes.  The 3D modules are especially useful for the operations class
