Site Safety

Site Safety is a comprehensive, 26 module program covering all important aspects of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) for a process unit under turnaround conditions.

There is also an alternative version of the Site Safety program available for construction sites (27 modules).

Important themes of the program are:

To raise awareness of the best practices employed by sites to ensure all work is carried out safely, avoiding accidents and injuries
The concept of the Permit to Work that provides a framework for performing work on site under controlled conditions, underpinned by industrially recognized safe working practices
Supervisor and worker responsibilities, as well as the responsibilities of work permit approving and issuing authorities

The program concludes with a module on Lost Time Accidents (LTAs); what they are, how they occur and how they can be avoided, stressing the importance of reporting, investigating and publicizing LTAs to prevent a recurrence.
